Crossfit can be described as a strength and conditioning program that is constantly varied with high intensity and functional movements. With the stated goal, to improve fitness (and therefore general physical preparedness), which it defines as work capacity across broad time and modal domains. Workouts can range between a short duration (between 5 - 10 minutes) and longer durations (anywhere from 15 - 30 minutes). Whether you are doing a short or long workout, they are all performed with high intensity and produce results. 

Workouts involve all facets of fitness including weightlifting, gymnastics, running, rowing, metabolic conditioning and whatever else you could think of. Crossfit forms community between people like no other, it truly does form friendships surrounded by the common idea of health.



CrossFit Cornwall wants to fuel a revolution in fitness that advocates the pursuit of function and that measures performance not anatomy. Group classes or personalized training will be offered using basic equipment such as barbells, pull up bars, kettle bells and body weight movements. Rather than machines we aim to restore the belief that fitness is about physical movement and everyday functionality. We at Crossfit Cornwall believe that the way you train and you who surround yourself with is far more important than where you train. What is often missing from commercial gyms is the sense of belonging. CrossFit workouts are unique and 100% scalable to nearly any population.
